Without precinct delegates, the major political parties in America would cease to exist. Each individual in the Republican Party, from the county level to the national level, is also a precinct delegate. As the building blocks of the party, they have the power to reshape party leadership at the county, district, state and national levels. Ultimately, this effects which candidates and elected officials the party will promote at every level of government.
